See what it's all about!

So you are thinking about the next big step becoming a dive leader. Becoming a dive leader is very rewarding and allows you to pass on you passion for the underwater world. Buckeye Diving School is always looking for fun, energetic people.

What is a Dive Control Specialist?

If you are familiar with the term "Dive Master" you are on the right track but a "Dive Control Specialist" (Dive Con for short) is more! A Dive Con is a Dive Master and an Assistant Instructor rolled into one. SSI combined these two programs into one superior program that educates the dive leader and introduces them into the field so they can gain the critical experience. Dive Con's are able to offer better services and teach rather than being limited to leading only. Dive Con's are the icon in the diving community!

The Dive Control Specialist course is very comprehensive and will go back over all the information you learned as a basic scuba diving student but in greater detail. This is also an excellent program for people who do not want to teach but just want to be the best diver they can possibly become.
